Great Site for Movie Reviews

Peter's birthday is coming up and I wanted to do something special with him. So, I thought about taking him to the theater to see Happy Feet, but I have been very disappointed with the last few kid's movies I've seen (Cars, Over the Hedge, etc). They are full of name calling, occasional cussing, sexual inuendas, and all sorts of other things that I don't want my kids to do or say. So I got on the internet and found James Dobson's Focus on the Family site very helpful. I remembered it from that women's conference we attended last year. Anyway, it's www.family.org and then you can either go to the entertainment section or type the title of the movie in their search engine. They also have TV shows, books, internet sites and magazines. It's not just for kids. So, just wanted to share.

Ladie's Get-together

I'm not sure if anyone even checks this blog...if you do, maybe you could post an "I do".
I was talking to Cindy and she mentioned that she'd love to start another women's study. Several other women have mentioned the same. She said Cubbies is ending in May for the summer. Might be a good time to start a study. Let's pray about a leader, a study, etc. And Sue, are we still planning to meet at your house in May sometime?

Women of His - Gathering

How great it was to meet at Meredith's for a gathering! I am so sorry that all the women at Friendship were not there because they missed not only good food and a good time but I believe a blessing as well through some of the ladies sharing their testimony of what God has shown them.

The women of our church are amazing. We can come together regardless of age and bond together as one. As I sat and listened I saw the older of us being a mentor to the younger but I also saw the younger ones reaching out to lead. I believe that God has given us a mission and we are becoming ready to join with Him on that mission. It is exciting to be a part of this group of truly remarkable women ready to give their all for Christ. Thank you, Lord, for allowing me this.

Blankets and Baby shower

Meredith emailed this to me and I wanted to post it here as a reminder. We only have a short time for blankets and baby shower items.

hola ladies. it missed the bulletin last week and i wanted you all to know that april 1st is the last day we will be collecting bibles and blankets (and the box looks pretty sad). also, april 1st, in between sunday school and church in the fellowship hall, i would like everyone to bring their food and baby items for the Johnsons for a group picture. this will be the last day to bring these as well. there is a list on the mission board of items. diapers should be size 2 and up. i just wanted everyone to have plenty of time to get things together - Meredith

Gabriella Abshere

Aida gave birth this morning (Tuesday) about 9:30 to a baby girl, Gabriella. I don't know anything more, I ran into her friend at MDO today, I use to care for her little boy and she was keeping Emily for Aida and Dan. I told her to tell them to call the church with all of the details. I know she's glad, I think she was pretty late. Anyway, hope you guys are having a good week. See you tomorrow.

New Site

We had to create a new site. I attempted to sign in to the old one and couldn't. Blogger is requiring that all "old blogger" sites be updated to new blogger templates.
Sorry, but I had to redo everything.
This template should actually be easier. Let me know if you need help.
I sent out invitations for all to be "authors" of the site. I'm also sending out an email. Let me know if I missed someone.
